Here I am sittin' on the friggin computer on a beautiful Sunday afternoon while most of you guys are out ridin' 'cause my 07 Bob is in the shop waitin' on a call from the MOCO tech. Think I'll gocut the F'n grass. At least the mower still runs. Think the neighbors will freak if I yank the muffler off and wear my leather vest while I mow????????
At least it is dry enough to cut the grass where you are. We have had so much rain and so little sun that all of the lawns are starting to take on a yellow color. But all of the water lilies and bamboo seems to be doing quite well.
Just mow the lawn and keep this scenario in mind.....
I thought it would be cool to buy a 35 year old Ironhead basket and build it to ride for one year without a big twin everyday rider. Well, a year and a half goes by and I'm sitting in the garage like an a-hole using all my spare time while I hear all the other folks buzz by on there scoots while I sit on a stool and try to figure out an AMF Harley's problems. I finally finish the bike and it's cooler than *****, but guess what? It's still a 35 year old Sporty that, although it's rebuilt to the hilt, it still loves to mark it's spot, beat the hell out of your kidneys and break down whenever it sees perfectly fit to do so, andit is not comfortable for a passenger....not to mention it's a high compression, kick only bike.
So I finally came across a 99 WG with 9500 miles and said screw it, I'm goin for it! I bought it and suddenly my summer became a bit better.
Relax, cut the lawn and just be thankful you have a great TC to ride around on when it's done.
I can Understand the anigst... I'm stuck twiddling my thumbs with a broke arm while everyone is cruzin.... 2 more weeks though... then the cast comes off and it's on after that!!! .... Was tempted to ride yesterday evening, but... it's kinda hard with a full arm cast, and the arm isnt quite ready to work the clutch well. I would be really steamed if I tried and hurt the bike too...

I'm in the same boat voyager, but like you said - almost. I jus' put it out of my mind and concentrate on the ride. Getting up in the morning really sucks; I can only sleep about six hours before my joints lock up. It's hell getting old, eh?
