One guy said all the Harley dealer does is park it in back for a few days, then call you and tell you it's done.

If you don't know how to do maintenance on your bike, how would you know the difference?

Thumbs down

Built a few choppers, restored some vintage bikes, just don't get a kick out of wrenching any more. Nothing but a pain in the ***.

Right, Understand your sentiment, sometimes the joy in working on bikes is no longer there. But, you know how to do maintenance and would be able to check to see if the dealer did a service or not. Or at least you would know to check the oil, trans and primary and see if it looked like it have fresh oil in it.

Someone with no mechanical skills and no experience doing their own maintenance on their bike wouldn't know if a dealer did the first service or just parked it behind the shop for a couple days.

IF the dealership does everything correctly, than $300-$400 should cover it.

If they do it wrong, it can cost you your life...
