I have a 2016 Dyna wide glide 103 HO with a open intake Vance and Hines short shots no baffle and S&S 585 cams. So I loaded the map that matches what I have done, Initial fire up bike idles normal like 1100-1200 rpm. As it warms up the rpm drops to 750-800 and lopes like I have a huge cam but its a bad non consistent lope then it takes off to 1600-1700 rpm and repeat. Flash back to stock bike runs fine, go back to the correct tune I manually adjust the idle up 100 rpm, crank crank crank bike wont start, go back bikes fires. So I got a break in weather and decide to take it for a ride immediately that lope carrys out while idling up the driveway just lunging. Bike runs strong then halfway through the ride I notice stopping is hard and look down and the bike is trying to hold a steady 2000-2500rpm I limp it home squeezing the clutch. I emailed V&H 3 times now and no reply I go on their live chat I type all this it says read but no one will type back, Im gonna give auto tune a try when the weather breaks but I doubt it works
Everyone acts like its the best thing basically, Im getting a thundermax I just happened to find the tuner on the bike when I bought it. Even using auto tune isnt gonna be fun like I said the bike wants to hold 2000-2500 while riding
Short shots (why?!) and cams....and a fp3 (not the best for anything beyond stage 1). Your setup is a recipe for disaster. Get a new exhaust to start with. The SS is prob the worse after market exhaust for the dyna for performance. Coupling cams with this setup is counter intuitive.
For now, try using a different map and auto tune. Eg. Select big shots , generic intake etc. See if u can toggle through different options to find a combo that works better.

Never cared much for e-mail and chat. I called them and got online with the FP3 so that the V&H guy could see it. Took a little bit, say 35 to 45 minutes, but when it was all done everything was fixed just fine. Caution: Tell them everything, don't leave out anything it makes a difference.
By the way, don't know why people are bitchin on FP3 it is a great tuner.
First off I know the SS are bad for power gains but Im willing to sacrifice that for looks since Im doing 107 and port and polish and a 50mm TB and thundermax next winter build. But Ill give them a call then cause this tuner is for this year like I said it was free. And for the cams it was worth it the bike pulls way harder it was a dog on the highway before
upload your map to V&H, they will fine tune it for you. My FXDL didnt run so great with the pre loaded mapping, once I sent it to V&H and had it fine tuned, the bike ran like an animal. Contact them and upload your map, you can do it right from the app.

dude, get some eyehole screws and drill a hole in your exhaust about 3-4 inches in from the end of the pipes. Insert the eyehole screws and tighten them up. you can use them as an adjustable baffle. I did this on my sporty with drag pipes and noticed a huge improvement. Im running Andrews 57H cams, intake, bassani rr2 pipe and an FP3 and my bike rips. the fp3 is like Arby's, you either love it or hate it. I love mine.....and Arbys.
V&H finally got back to me and said to send my tune in, Im just gonna put the baffle back in as cool as it sounds it loud as hell next to the guard rails, and going down hill it sounds like a race car with the cackle lol
