Was browsing through the Harley site for new parts for '08 and noticed they now offer a direct replacement "mini ape" bar in black. I find mine to be confortable for me and was going to have them powdercoated but I might go with these instead. Didn't notice any other new "black" parts though. http://www.harley-davidson.com/gma/g...bmLocale=en_US
With the amount of Street Bob's I see with powder coated lower sliders, I would think Harley would try to cash in on it. The offer it for the both softail front ends.
The powdercoater who is going to do my tripple trees wants $40 for the bars. For $20 more it was just for the convenience of swapping them out on the spot. But I may want my bars to be gloss like my sliders an trees will be, so I may not go that route.

YES I NOTICE THE BLACK BARS TOO , I WILL ORDER THEM THIS WEEK OR NEXT , THEY SHOULD ALSO HAVE MADE SOME BLACK WRINKLE FENDER STRUTS !! I THOUGHT FOR SURE THEY WOULD HAVE MADE THEM THIS YEAR , NOT TO MANY NEW PARTS FOR THE BOB !![:@]

Also, for that $20 you're getting two addional inches! (that sounds bad)
I think these are afew incheshigher than the original SB bars. I had mine powder coated last winter, if these were available I would have probably gone this way.
In the description of the bars it say which models they fit and fxdb is listed. In the pic they don't look any bigger than street bob bars. Maybe they measured different? Anyways my bars are being powdercoated now. I decided i would rather have gloss than a matte finish. For Screamin Eagle: there have been wrinkle fender struts available for a while. http://www.harley-davidson.com/gma/g...bmLocale=en_US
