So; I picked up a 2008 Super Glide Custom a few weeks ago; love the bike. However; the seating position is a bit off for me; but I'm not sure on the best overall way to correct it. I know I probably will get some pull-back risers; so the bars are an easy deal once I decide on what I want to about the seating. I'm 5'8" with a 30" inseam; and I feel like the controls are in a great place; but that I need to be a bit higher up, which would reduce the "knees up" feeling/bend at the hips. I can go with a new seat, but I also know they make the further-forward controls. Has anyone else felt like this? What have you done?
Getting the bars, seat and pegs ergonomics correct can be tough.
On my '08 I had to go to mini apes to keep from bending over forward and a LePera Daddy Long legs seat with my forward controls.
Most stock seats I feel like I'm sitting on the tank. While what I have now is okay, I still think it needs more tweaking.
I also have a HD TallBoy seat that I've shaved the foam to move me back about an addn'l inch. I'm 6'1" and 34" inseam.

What seat do you have on it?
Stock seat...but my legs are 4" shorter than yours. I like mid-controls; I had two Triumph Bonneville's that fit great. It seems like if I was just a bit higher; that would alleviate the "knees up" position.
What seats have you tried and what are your body dimensions?
Sundowner, Sundowner Solo, Solo off Street Bob, Badlander, LePera Daytona DLL, HD-TallBoy. 230lbs, 6'1", 34" inseam, 36" reach.
The LePera Daytona was the best fit, the HD TallBoy is the most comfy.
And I wonder if a $700 Corbin is the answer? LOL!

Having had a couple of Corbin's in the past, they're great seats, but IMO, only if you can ride in and have it custom made for you. Otherwise it's a operation in compromise. Even still, the best seat I've ever had is the Russell Day Long I have on my current BMW K1600GTL. I wish I had known about them when I had my Ultra Classic. As a 2nd bike for me, I really don't want to spend they kind of cash, but.... money money money money money money...it never ends
I almost swapped to a bar and riser combo thinking my 14 MX bars were too tall and offered no pullback. I put on a Saddleman Step-Up seat, BOOM. Brand new bike to me and no more reaching for the bars.
