My wife suprised me and had a set of vance and hines short shots put on my 04 WG. After riding it I noticed it was getting some bads vibes. I looked and the pipe seems to contact the frame as it makes the bend as it exits the cylinder. The vin sticker id worn through and melted pretty bad.The shop ordered a set of Big shots for it and are going to try them to see if it is the pipes or not. Just wondering if anyone else has had this problem or not. Thanks.

Sounds like they may have put the wrong pipes on your bike.
Hope they are eating the extra cost for the Big Shots, if they did.

Hear the bottom end torque is good.

 

My V&H BSS are close - maybe a bit less than 1/4inch - but don't touch even when the engine is doin it's vibration thing.

 

My Bub Stubbies did the same thing when I first put them on. After about a week, they stopped tapping the frame.

 

I appreciate the advice. I had to eat some of the cost on the pipes but they cost a bunch more than the short shots. Hopefully these new ones work and the issue is taken care of. Should be on Sat. if things go right.
