Without knowingly changing anything, I noticed a couple of night ago my brake light wasn't working. So last night in the garage, I checked just about everything I could until today I decided it had to be the bulb. All other lights work fine including my Rear Tail Light (But no Brake)
* Not Switch because it doesn't work from the hand or foot brake.
Swapped out bulb and now the Brake light works but no Tail Light. Old Bulb Tail Light no Brake. Tried turning the bulb upside down and same results. Fuses are all fine as well
Agreed...it needs to be a 1157, I believe,and a dual filament....
If not, is there a worn wire somewhere near the underside of the tailight assembly beneath the fender?
Let us know what happens.
The Bulb is actually a 3517 or 5713 something like that but anyway, it turned out to be the connection was loose. I used a needlenose to pull them out
and so far I've got both Lights & Brake
When I first bought this bike, I went through a safety check everytime I was getting ready to ride. Lights, Turn Sigs, Brake Light, Belt heck I even checked for loose bolts plus the Spoke tension as well and I felt each tire for nails. Now I jump on and take off.
That's what happens when you are too familiar with your Bike and you consider yourself an experienced Rider. Sometimes I think experienced Riders have the most problems that could havce been avoided.
