Maybe some of you have done this...I have an 07 StreetBob and want to replace the handebars with heritage handlebars. Are these interchangeable without having to replace the cableing?

 

I have an 03 FXDP (police dyna) and switched from it's Buckhorn style bars to the Heritage bars with no problems. If you have the bars, mock them up next to the bars on there now and see what the difference might be. There is some play in the length of the cables. If you don't have the bars, go to the dealer and they might let you mock them up in the parking lot. Mine did.

One caution is when you replace the switches and squeeze the wires to the handlebars, try not to damage the wires to where they arc and cause you problems later. Don't ask me how I know this!

It caused me lots of problems, replaced the kill switch and the start switch, and finally found the short in the wires where it was crushed by the switch housing!! :-)
