Default Crossover

I want to replace the ugly, shitty, rubber crossover and worm clamps on the tank of my '17 FXDB. Seems like there'd be a million quality replacements to choose from, right? Well, I can't find any. I also need it to be 7" since I have a tank lift and want to have some slack.

I reached out to Magnum Shielding figuring they could just build me one, but nope. This is the reply I got. "I do not have a listing for this year/bike. We do have a 7" crossover line for '05-07 FXSTD; however, I am not sure if the compression fittings are the same. You would have to determine if the '05-07 and the 2017 have the same fittings.". I emailed back asking if I could just buy a fitting to test fit, nope can't sell me one. I just emailed again asking if she could at least give me a size, so we'll see what she says.

AnnnnyyyWho...though it seems like a stretch, I thought I'd ask here. Any idea if a compression fitting for a '05-'07 FXSTD would fit my '17 FXDB?

No bites huh? Let me re-phrase my question. Don't all modern ('05-present) HD fuel tanks have uniform-sized crossover bungs/nipples/tubes/whatever-you-call-its?

Is this what you are talking about?
drag-specialties-grooved-chrome-hose-ends-with-clamps
Combine that with a 7" long piece of braided line and there you go. I also assume this little tit things or tank nips or whatever are more or less the same.
I struggled with the braided line a bit as it was a tight fit.

This one HERE would be a better option if you want to spend a tonne, i chose not to. It is quick disconnect so no mess. I believe it comes with either the black hose or a braided one.

I made one a few years ago for my bike. I don't recall what the ID is but that's really the important measurement. I used Goodridge braided fuel line and attempted to use their quick disconnects. I bought them out of the drag specialties catalog. The system itself works fine. I ended up ditching the quick disconnects because on such a short line the barbs from the fittings made the line too stiff and wouldn't work properly. With a longer line, not sure how much longer it would have been fine. I just wasn't able to flex the line enough to disconnect the fittings. I can check what the size in next time I'm in the garage. This was all on my 2015 Street Bob.

I was going to do the same, looked up all the Goodridge part numbers and everything, and then thought twice. This winter I had to swap tanks on my wife's Sporty and pull the tank on my FXDB so I bought a FuelTool "sharing system" Harley Fuel Sharing System | Gas siphon | Share gas | Siphon Gas Gas siphon | Share gas | Siphon Gas (fueltool.com) the thing is Genius!

So I really wouldn't "need" that quick disconnect in the future. Anytime I need to pull the tank I can have it empty in 5 mins with that pump. So the short of it is, I just bought a black rubber hose and some nice black finishing clamps. It still blows my mind that there are so few good options available. Seems like someone would offer custom, high-end hoses in colors, and fancy finishers, etc.
