Mine acts up too. Sometime it's damn hard to get it where I want it. So far, it's still working though.

its a defect. Bring it in and they will replace it. I am surprised there hasnt beena recall on it

On my 06 SG the fork lock is a pin & hole mechanism. Is it the same for a SB? It's a tight fit, so might there be trash or grit getting in the mechanism?

The key would just turn? no click between positions and no fork lock.
