Default Ign. switch broke?
Turned my ign switch off and the key did not want to come out of switch? I tried to turn bike on and nothing , no fork lock, no indicator lites. Dealer has the bike and said the switch broke and it will be 7-10 days before he can get replacement Switch, no sooner. Has this happened to anyone else?

The key switch on my Bob has been stiff, and questionable since about a month after i got it. Its been about a year now and it hasnt failed yet, but you never know...

7 - 10 days!! Shouldn't be more then 3 days. Tell them to take one off a new bike and put the one that comes in on that one.

I hear ya on that stiffness on my 07 BOB. I have trouble sometimes unlocking my forks. It can be a real pain in the ****. But its worth it in the long run....

yup. mine shorted out on my 06 spuper glide. It was starting to bind up a little before it did that also. See if they'll replace it before ya get stranded. Oh, and it took 10 days for me to get my bike back.

sorry DGramps, I may have gotten the last one[&:]. At first, when trying to troubleshoot on my own (guess I'm not to good at it), I thought it was the starter relay...that was back-ordered too, so I couldn't try that. The dealer located one in FL though. Why dont they make these parts more often??[&:]

This happened to me . My switch started to give me signs first . It was a little loose and would jam up. If i wiggled it , it would end up turning . Then i went and showed it to the dealer it took 10 days to come in . And i kept my bike You should aggresivly try to turn it back and forth it will probably work. The dealer told me that they had these problems with a lot of the 06 bikes but mostly the baggers

Mine was also. Took some WD-40 and sprayed just a little in the switch and a little on the key. Seems to have fixed the problem.
