Just bought my first Harley Davidson a couple of weeks ago. Its a 2006 fxdbi Street bob. its only got about 6000 miles on it and most of the bike looks really clean, almost brand new. So i'm just trying to fix pretty much the only things that stand out which are in this picture.
I bought the updated combo digital speedometer/tachometer to replace the one in the picture and will hopefully be putting it in this week once it shows up at my local Harley Davidson. But cant find anything about the indicator lights? Is there a missing rim that went around it? or do I just need to replace the indicator lights?
And last what is the best way to hid the big scratch you see just underneath the indicator lights that looks like it's starting to rust? I was thinking of just dabbing some flat black Rustoleum spray paint on it with a cue tip. But i can see how that could be a bad idea if the colors don't match up.
Thanks for any help.

Just went out to the garage and looked at my '07 SB. No rim. I powdercoated my dash gloss black a few years ago but you can see that the indicator light unit looks a lot like yours. Something I never got around to replacing. Now that you've pointed it out to me it's probably going to drive me nuts haha.
As far as the scratch in the dash, I like this: "dabbing some flat black Rustoleum spray paint on it with a cue tip." It probably won't match well, but I always figure that a mismatch of similar colors on scratches doesn't stand out as much as a mismatch of dissimilar colors.
Good luck and let me know how much a new indicator light unit costs if you get one.
EDIT: OK, an update. Something was telling me that it might be easier than I thought. I just went back out to the garage and popped off the dash and took out the light assembly. Found that the part that needs to be replaced is this gizmo, not the entire light assembly. Near as I can tell the part number is 68382-07B and it's called BEZEL, INDICATOR LIGHT or LENS, JEWEL, INDICATOR LIGHT.

Reason: new information
Thanks for taking a look at that! I wasn't able to find anything with that part number on harleys website, but I was able to find some things on ebay. When i go pick up my new speedometer, i'll ask them about it since I forgot to when I was there last week.
Just because you can't find it on the website doesn't mean they don't have it. The Harley website is good for accessories, not so good for actual parts. You might want to talk to the parts guy at your local dealer. It's probably less than ten bucks.
G'day, how did you go with this? was yours the one with the clear warning lights or the coloured ones? i had to replace my indicator light panel as i spilt a few drops of fuel on it when i was filling up my bike in the shed after having a few beers. It instantly cracked with a couple of drops of fuel. I was shocked that it could be so weak.
My local HD guys got me the part according to the parts manual but it was the one pictured in Crazy's post which has the clear indicator lights, mine requires the coloured ones as in the pic below. it was $17 bucks here so am using it anyway but would like to get the correct one. I got them to get me the correct one in January now they reckon it wont be here until next January, i want to make sure they are getting me the right part so I am trying to find the correct part number for the one pictured if anyone has it or knows it?
Maybe there is a difference between the 06 & 07 or perhaps the difference is the model that was shipped to australia.

Reason: not sure if the picture has posted
I'm still waiting for it to come in. They said it will be here sometime in November. Not sure what part was ordered as I can't find the order sheet, but I'll update once they call me and I have the part in hand. Hopefully they ordered the correct part.
