Clean oil off engine
Hey There,
Mostly read here as most my question seem to get answered. One thing is howdoIclean the oil off the powder coated engine casing and does anyone else have issues with oil seeping through the gaskets and oil pressure sending unit? Not a lot just enough to leave a wet mark.

Dawn diswashing liquid will break down any oil residue and clean your bike. Follow that with a mild detergent such as car or bike wash. You shouldn't have gasket seepage or weepage on that new bike. It should be oil tight.
Yes and on the clutch side. I found WD40 to work well. I asked the dealer today and the said to give it a good clean and let them know. I just had a service so they want to make sure it wasn't from that. its not dripping but there is less them 2000KM on it and I feel it should be bone dry.
This will clean the motor and git the oil off.

I use S100 on the engine, rims and on the bottom half of the engine, rinse with a pressure washer and blow dry.....(showroom perfect!!)
They say that it can be used on the entire bike with a total rinse (I try not to get it on the painted areas

I quit putting oil in the transmission........... so far no more of that ugly oil spot between tranny and engine. Before that I just hit the spot with the high pressure carwash. That whiny tranny seems to have quieted down quite a bit, but some extra vibration.

Just about anything seems to remove that little oil spot quickly enough, but I generally just hit it at the carwash with some high pressure.

Just thought I would pass this on to everybody.
The Bike blowers for motorcycles are great to dry them too. After you dry them crank them up and let them run for a few minutes or take them for a short ride and bring them back to keep the moisture off the bikel

Service Dept of Texan Harley in Conroe, Tx. sent me a notise the other week stating you can ride yer bike in the rain and drown it and wash it off. But DO NOT take it to the CAR WASH or use a PRESSURE WASHER on IT. It gits into the electrical system and ruins it.

Ain't arguing with your point. I always head straight to the carwash, after riding through the pooring rain, and then ride the bike fast and hard to dry it off quickly, after a quick wipe down.
