Why you should never buy a Dyna
The author is greatly exaggerating the issue because well that’s what all journalism is these days. If dynas were as bad as he makes them out to be, nobody would own them. Says the problem happens all the time, to almost every bike. Bullshit.
I’m sitting at around 24k miles on my 14 and have never experienced the issue. I don’t claim to be the most aggressive rider out there but I started on sport bikes and learned how to ride pretty hard. I spend a lot of time in the mountains throwing the bike from
peg to peg at speeds I don’t want to be caught at.
I know the issue is real but I don’t think it’s nearly as significant as articles like this make it out to be.

The only time I experienced any any odd handing characteristics on my Wide Glide was in a long freeway sweeper at 80 mph, speed limit was 55. It definitely got my attention but I just backed of the throttle a bit to 75 and it was fine. Oh well, it’s more fun to ride a slow bike fast than a fast bike slow.
Well, according to the article, all of us that pushed our Dynas to the limit are dead or in the ER? Better riders than me with heavily modded bikes have noted that you can vastly improve a Dyna's handling, but she is always gonna do a bit of the "Dyna Dance" if you push the bike hard enuff; part of the fun.eh- you just gotta put your big girl panties on and keep 'em dry ( reading the news on the internet makes me feel like I lose an IQ point per minute often enough)

I had a 2008 superglide, no issues.
A 2015 Low Rider, no issues.
A 2016 Low Rider S, no issues.
And my current 2017 LRS. And again, no issues.
Granted, I’ve done a little work, but I pushed each of the above in their stock forms harder then most. And as I said, no issues. Of course, I realize they aren’t race/track/sport bikes, but I still call that BS, fake news…

Death wobbles happen across many manufacturers. Aftermarket cures invariably reduce the free play in the suspension or increase component stiffness or both. The change in compliance changes the speed where the problem occurs, hopefully out of the bikes operating range.
