Low compression
I have a 1978 FXE. Put new heads, pistons and had cylinders done. Had low compression(90psi) on both front and back. Took pushrods off checked and cleaned. Took lifters out checked and cleaned. Put all back together, adjusted as book said. Checked compression and had 120psi front and back. Started engine and let run about a minute, shut off checked compression and back to 90psi. What could be wrong?

New rings might just need to seat themselves.
Do a wet compression test and see if your compression changes.
If it goes up a lot you have a ring issue, if not your looking at valves.
I'd break in the engine and retest later.
