Pro pipe
Looking for a exhaust similar to the pro pipe for my 2009 street bob currently have a fat cat and I hear the pro pipe increases low end torque with losing top end power which I wouldn’t mind
The pro pipe is discontinued and hard to find to fit a 2009 street bob.

Are you saying you have a D&D Fat Cat 2-1 exhaust and would like to trade it for a Vance & Hines Pro pipe 2-1 exhaust.....??
IMHO... In the hands of an experienced, competent tuner, you should get similar performance from them, with all other components being the same... In fact, I would say the D&D Fat Cat would actually be the better pipe stock, and will increase it's lead over the Pro Pipe with even bigger mods, like a big bore kit...
FuelMoto agrees with me...

From FuelMoto's web site:
"The D&D Boss Fat Cat 2-into-1 exhaust system is an excellent choice for engines with performance modifications from stock to plus-25% displacement, delivering a torque curve that is high and wide, with a strong top-end pull."

The Fat cat pipe you have is every bit as good, if not better power wise than a V&H pro pipe.
I think you’re falling for the old marketing of the pro pipe and 2:1 pipes in general. And the increases in TQ you’re hearing about are increases over stock pipes, not other 2:1 pipes.

I was told that a 2-1 ProPipe would be best by my friend who has his own shop, but that was over stock pipes. I switched to Independence Shortys, with torque cones in the top, and saw SOME improvement, with a LOT more noise, and then went to the 2-1 ProPipe, and saw little to NO difference between that and the Shortys, but a bit LESS noise. I've actually been thinking about switching back to the Shortys.

Then not a good idea to go to Pro-Pipe. Had one on my 06' till I could find something that was less noisy. Then GAVE away the Pro to get rid of it.

If you are not modifying the tune when changing between exhaust designs, it is not a fault of the design that you feel no changes.....
You may like the shorties better because your current tune just happens to be better suited to them.....
If you have not retuned between the shortys and the D&D Fat Cat 2-1, you are not doing the Fat Cat justice....
Good luck with your mods...
That's crazy talk man!
Unless you really, really don't like it's look than I doubt there's a better performing pipe and they're built like a brick outhouse! The only pipe better than a Fat Cat is a BOBCAT
I might be a bit bias on that though
