Just got my 1992 FXDB Datona Dyna Glide. First Harley and I feel
that it is heavy! Must keep it straight and level when stopped. It has forward controls and pipes added, so must get used to them too. I'll practice in the hood and at the school yard parking lot to get the feel for it. First long ride from home will be to Madrid, NM for a burger and a beer.
Dude, killer bike! Love the paint/badging and wheels on those Daytona's.
That bike will feel like nothing in no time flat, give it a day or two.
What an awesome first harley.
Local shop recently had a Daytona for sale. Completely stock and low miles. Drooled over it for a while, but I knew if I came home with it the ol' lady would probably make sure I woke up dead.
Congrats man. Like TownesVanZandt said, In a couple of days you will be wondering what you were worried about and you will completely understand why these bikes are special...
