Default Speedo Relocation question, 2010 Dyna FXD

guys. I have a 2010 fxd . I have changed bars to pullback street slammers now my speedo looks akward sitting on the bars. As many know the speedo was designed to suit either ape style or goat horn style bar. I however have fitted a lowrider tank to my bike. The original FXD tank also has an ugly scratch which needs paintwork and i dont wanna spend a fortune on paint and oem decals.
Issue now is i cant connect both tachos on since the original fxd only came with one tacho for speedo. I thought this was my cheapest option but cant seem to get the loom off a fxdl to complete my setup. Anyone know or have one speedo loom off an FXDL to fit my tank. Tank is off a 2010 fxdl as well. Or alternatively i will take suggestions

I have posted before and after change pics. Thx

Not much help from me on your speedo issue, but I would love to know where you got those lights on the front. Are the turn signals integrated into the headlights.
Can you post some pics of them?

Hey Bubba
Hope u are well bud. My lights were originally just the passing lamps you get on bikes like a a deluxe but i have changed them to LED to match with the led headlight. Cant tell you much more but the lights were on the bike when i bought it 2years back.

Hope that helps bud

I am guessing that if you plug the existing plug bac into the speedo, it works as expected without throwing any codes. (but no tach :-( ). If losing the tach is not a deal killer the easiest solution is get a console off of a wide glide. I've seen them in chrome and both gloss and matte black.

If keeping the tach and having it work is a more important goal, then a bit of research into the wiring diagram of your harness will be in your future. If I recall, the tach and speedo share a lot of common wires and the trigger for the tach "may" be in the connector for the speedo. If so, you may be able to buy the parts necessary to extend the harness to the tach.

Another place to look on this site is the Electrical/Lighting/alarm discussion area. Good luck!

I like the fxd console. Hate the speedo bracket sticking up so changed over to some sportster parts. I do like the buckhorns.
