So i have been searching, researching, sitting on, talking, etc etc etc.... trying to find the perfect first bike... it has been a toss up between a Dyna and Softail... I think I'm leaning more twrods the Dyna. Only thing is I don't really care for the speedo mounted on the handlebars.. I prefer it to be on the tank. Are there certain models that only come with it on the handelbars? Can you change it to be on the tank if you wanted to? I'm looking at used bikes so any advice is greatly appreciated!
This is one of the items I looked at when I was shopping around too. I decided on a Dyna Super Glide Custom. This bike has the speedo on the tank. The non custom Super Glide has it on the bars. Take a look at HD's website. You can see the differences there.

I agree, if you are looking at a pretty affordable model, I would go with the custom. I like the look and it has more of the V Twin look. And no speedo on the bars.
