Hello all. Looking for some advice if possible. I have a FXDL 2014, all stock at the moment, and I´ve noticed recently that there is a very small leak coming from where the muffler joins the headers. It leaks a few drops then stops and it only happens on start up when the engine is cold. Any advice would be great, thanks!
That looks like condensation. Nothing to worry about, that's just water that is a biproduct of combustion being condensed while your engine and pipes are still cool, and its going out the first exit it can.
It doesn't happen when your bike is warmed up because it's hot enough to turn the water into vapor and you never see it, and it can't sit and collect inside the pipe to "leak" pretty well all vehicles do this but it is just a matter of how and where the water is in the exhaust system if you can see it or not.

Thanks for the replies! It´s clear and odourless so if condensation is all it is then great. I´m a new Harley rider and it seems there is a lot of great info on here. Thanks again!
I've changed my muffler a few times. The clamp is for one-off use, so I always use a new one, and tighten to the correct torque; even so, I too get that drop of condensation. It really is nothing to worry about.
