Sat on a few bikes and didn’t really like the weight or the way they were setup.

Have a friend who just got an older M8 street bob and took it out for a ride and it’s mostly stock. Really was a nice ride so I think that’s what I’ll probably go towards. I’ll change out the mini apes for sure since they were a bit too high for me.

I just picked up a 2015 Street Bob for less than $9k. I'm thinking $12k for an 8 year old motorcycle is a bit high. I would be looking more at $10k out the door for a good running, clean Dyna.

That's how he explained them to me, but they were the stock bars that come on the bike.

Going with a '18 Street Bob just under 7k miles and looking to be about 10k-ish out the door with new tires.

You might want to do some research on that first year Softail M8 before buying.

Gotcha, if it was a 2" shorter I think the setup would be perfect but it could have also been that I wasn't used to bars like that.

Can you provide some more context? Just did a quick search and not seeing anything out of the ordinary in terms of results coming back for issues that came about.

I have no personal experience and never read up on it because I knew I'd never buy an early M8, but the keyword is "sumping", Anyone planning on raining on me, save it. I'm just trying to help a brother and stated my personal experience with the issue.
