I got a check engine light that comes on intermittent and then goes away I did the jumper wire and put it in diag mode and it spit out error 16. Uhhhh how do I fix that?
Tighten battery terminals . If that don't work replace regulator..
Today I took out the battery and all the cables, also took off the ground strap to the starter and the POS lead as well. I cleaned everything with a wire brush and everything is good and tight. Tomorrow I'm going for a 2hr ride so we'll see if any check engine lights come on.
I also installed a volt meter on the handlebar so if the check engine light does do it's random turning on I'll be able to see the volts spike or drop.
