valve stems ?

ok i wanted to check the pressure and maybe add some air to the tires but it wont let me. i noticed some rubber type insert in the stems is it okay to remove them or is that apart of the rubber tubing inside the tire? thanks guys

ok the pics wont come out clear enough to see but now thati rotated the tire, it kind of looks like a rubber o ring or somethin.

You got them "Fancy" type hex'd caps, doncha???????

Take that o-ring, and put it back in the cap, at the top....

It is just a seal, and sometimes sticks to the valve stem....

actually i have some black dice on the valves. good thinking thanks shovelhead. ill check it right now

bobber, I didn't think you could screw em in hard enough
to press the o-ring into the valve stem cavity.
Or I woulda mentioned that in the first place.

I guess with the added leverage of the black dice,
it is possible.

I have o-rings in my stem covers as well.

I put a little spit in there before I screw them on.
Doesn't need much to keep them on.
The rubber cushion is like a lock.

Check your tire pressure often.
And, at the very least, have a glance at
the rubber condition and tread depth.
