I saw a cheap seat on marketplace that I’m interested in.
Problem is the seat is off a 96 Wide Glide but I have a 95 FXDS Convertible.
I know there’s differences in the frames between 95 and 96 and I think there’s also a difference between the Wide Glide seats and other Dynas.
Anyone know what those differences are and if it’s something a simple mod like moving or swapping the mounting tab could fix?

The main difference is the front mount. Your '95 FXDS has a tongue that slides into a groove on the frame. The '96 Wide Glide has a bracket with a hole for a rubber isolator and a bolt.
You can likely make it work by unbolting the front mounting hardware from your old seat and swapping it onto the new one, as long as the seat pan shapes are similar where they meet the frame. It's a common swap people do. Just compare them side-by-side before you buy.

Good to know, thanks. I messaged the seller and she’s having her husband look for a part number today.
I also asked for a pic of the bottom of the seat pan. If it looks similar I’ll probably go ahead and but it. It’s only $50 and about 15-20 round trip drive.

My 97 WG has a tongue that slides into a tab on the frame.
FWIW check w/amazon from time to time on the seat you want ( you can always send it back). I was looking from time to time and I happened on a Danny Gray custom leather/ flame stitched seat for $100. Hope you can see it in this pic. Also it may look thinner but it is a great seat and surprisingly comfortable.i lucked into it on Amazon.
