H.D. makes a lowering bracket for the Bob. I think its like 125.00, if you have the P&A book its in there. The bracket lets you lower the stock shocks.

Check these out, lowering blocks and Progressive shocks. I'd spend the extra bucks to get the shocks.

Ditto! Improves handling and looks! Suggest you also consider lowering the front at the same time.

Chip, did you go with the standard duty or heavy duty Progressives? I am on the fence as to what ones. Also, I'm not sure I want to go down to 11 inchers, that's why I'm leaning to the 440's in 11.5 inches. The other issue isprice difference (412s =$160; 440s = twice as much[:'(]). Either way, I weigh in at a solid 222lbs and since I will be going with a shorter shock, I'm fearful of bottoming out. This is why I'm considering the heavy duties. I don't ride two-up at all. I may for short hops around town in the future but not definate. I don't want it to feel like a rigid, as some had eluded to previously with the HD Progressives. Thanks.

I did the HD and am glad I did. 11" on superglide and it rides great. I weigh 200 and set the preload up one notch. Saw them on sale too for well under 180$. Recommended.

I've got the heavy dutyeleven inch Progressive 412's,set on the lightest setting it really slams the bike. I weigh about 235,so I figured I need them, but I gotta tell you, they ride firm. You'll become very adept at dodging potholes to avoid the bone jarring bump. Mine have about twenty thousand miles on them now and either I've gotten used to them or they soften up with use but I don't even notice the firm ride any more.

Good Luck

Tom
