07 Street Bob owners. Does anyone else have this, when backing down for a stop or a turn? Sometimes when I am moving slow or slowing down for a stop sign I get a vibration in the foot pegs that feels really bizzare. Does not happen all the time but notice it more when lugging the engine a little in 1st gear when manuvering the bike around. I have looked at the motor mounts and can't see any noticable problems. I only have 500 miles on the bike.......
I am new to Harley's so this may be typical occurance due to the rubber mounts....
My 07 FXD does it, but ONLY if you are using back brakes only. I usually am using both front/back together but I notice that if i come to a stop or really slow down it vibrates, it scared me that my brakes were bad but everything checked out OK. Try just your back brakes and see if that's it.
If doing so while using back brakes check real wheel for proper alignment...Just my opiniopn and I could be wrong, but makes sense to me. Maybe rear rotor for straightness as well...
Rather than lug your engine during slow maneuvers
in 1st gear, (since you can't gear down any lower)
feather the clutch if the maneuvers are that slow.
Odd vibrations/things can occur when you lug a m/c engine.
Thank you for the input. If anyone is interested I found another post that is talking about exactly what I have been expierencing with my Bob.
