Default I thought they had the same engine?

Why on the Harley web site does it post three different torque values for different Dynas?
91.0 ft. lbs. @ 3125 rpm 92.0 ft. lbs. @ 3000 rpm 92.0 ft. lbs. @ 3500 rpmAre they tuned different? What's the deal? Why does the SB only put out 91 ft/lbs while the others 92? And why is the lowrider doing it all the way up at 3,500? Does that mean the LR is a higher reving engine in general? But they have the same engine and tranny... What's the deal?

maybe weight? maybe different test tracks? different altitudes? was it warmed up and test run before dyno'd? There's a lot of variables in dyno numbers.

One word, marketing. But like abcd9906 said, there are a lot of variables.

Doesn't matter. You'll buy the bike, change the A/C, fuel management, pipes, and whatever else, and all those stock numbers will go out the window.

I think someone on here had explained that some of Harleys engines have counterweights that make them run smoother, but lose power due to added weight spinning on the crank. I don't know much about that though obviously!
