Default fluid quantities
I'm wanting to change the fluids in a 2006 custom super glide and need to know how many quarts of oil it takes for the engine and the trans. Also what brands are recommended? The bike has 1100 miles on it, I feel I've paid enough for the bike and cant see spending the kind of money the shop wants to service it. Is there anything else I should be looking at, at this time? Thanks.

A service manual is the best money spent.

Service manual is well worth it...[sm=icon_rtfm.gif] This was all I got when I found this site. It really pissed me off but I got a service manual...

It's also in the owners manual. For my '07 Streetbob, it's 2.5qt on oil changes, 1qt in primary and 1qt in transmission.
