I don't know Mud, but I think R Racing has as good a shot as anyone.

When you gonna get yours slicked up and get us some pictures going so we can get you nominated for a BOTM?

From what I hear, Mud's motor alone will be wicked sick. Can't wait to see him shoot some color on that thing.

Psych, I certainly do agree.
Racer has an extremely nice, hand built machine.
We allwatched him build it here last year.

60 very nicemachines thru the year
get narrowed down to12 for BOTY.

If I remember correctly,

Reese and Lolife are in the running this year??

The 5monthly slots are an honor - win or lose.

Same for BOTY - win or lose.

Anyway I think there's three dynas already in the race.

I *think* it's actually like 4 Dynas so far which is pretty amazing. I don't think we need to whine about bagger popularityanymore. I remember earlier in the year saying that this may be the year of the Dyna ;-) Perhaps it isn't a coincidence at all since they really gave the line a substantial work-over for 2006. More people are buying Dynas and even more are at least considering them. They aren't as overlooked as in the past.

I suspect we won't see a Dyna bring home theBOTY simply because Dyna lovers will spread their votes thin with several choices (aren't 3 of them denim black???). R Racing's bike may actually stand the best chance. I just don't think my bikehas BOTY appeal, which is not a complaint at all, just a prediction. It wasn't intended to look like a custom, it was intended to look like a factory model with a tad bit of aftermarket style thrown in and I got EXACTLY what I was after. I suspect my bike struck a chord with some for its cleanliness, but I don't think that will hold up against flashier competition.

There is definitely some luck too as far as who gets nominated when you do. However it happened, I'm thrilled with winning a BOTM.But that BOTY is like the playoffs (PLAYOFFS . . . PLAYOFFS?!?!?!?) and I think it'll take a custom look to win it.

As soon as they get R Racing's write-up done, the previous winners link should be available on the right, mixed in with the advertisers. We can check for a real Dyna count then.

So Mud, how's it coming along? You need to hurry up since they run a month in advance. If you want to get that bike in for December, you only have about a month. You going to make it????? From what I've seen, it should be a legit BOTY contender. We gotta start with getting it in a BOTM though ;-)

Kevin - four this year??

Who am I forgeting??

Your perspective on this years contest is right on -
I do believe.

But, I do think the others will get split as well.

Your machine is a sleeper,
and you already proved that once.

At any rate, should be interesting.

Yeah Racer maybe has an edge,
we'll see soon enough.

Thanks for the compliment on my machine,
it's far from finished.
Too many irons in the fire.
Over the last few weeks, I bumped the motor up
a few notches. 11:1 95" pistons,
radical cam, headwork, etc.

JayfromPA -
hopefully I'll get a chance to squirt some color at it soon.
My favorite striper will be available after ThanksGiving,
so I gotta go on that very soon.

There are alot ALOT of choices.... amazing some of the inivation and home fabrication that came though on the Dyna's (exp the bob's) they went from us making our own parts cause they where no where to be found to being able to pick up a mag or book and order away. I remember when i could not find a exhaust that was made for the bike yet! ALot of great idea's out there and bikes... alot of people taking some chances and cutting bending and painting up some newer bikes... funny part is (at least from what i have done and seen lately) Now that alot of our warnte's are up.... alot more custom bikes are rolling out! This should be a good comp! ALot of the exterior of the bikes get touched on i am real intrested to see what is on the inside, what kind of power they are pushing now!

I respectfully disagree. It's the "lack" of flash (clutter) that makes it so nice. Some of us go too far but others know when to stop. I'm not sure where I fall but I know where you do and I can spot a winner when I see it.
