I have an 06 wideglide ,and yes use 6th gear when 65mph or above , if you change into 6th at 55-60 the bike will bog down and lug , epecially with low mileage bikes.
Can i say this one thing !!! i have rode and owned lots of bikes during the last 28 years , 2 stroke twins/triples old jap fours , early evo superglide, 1200 sportster, modern jap race reps, ducati 916 etc .
But this is the first bike that i am not constantly looking for a higher gear when already in top , for euro motorway etc it will be much better .
The bike is in for recall at the moment although it has not had false neutrals , while its there its going to 95 cu , great machine
