Help on Mods
Any superglide 04 - 06 guys out there that can tell me the diameter of the fuel filler and fuel guage on their tank console ?
I am thinking of converting my 2008 fxdf and like the lines on the old superglide one .
I was thinkin that if I relocate the ignition switch to the headstock { same as Street Bob } this could allow me to fit my speedo into the space that originally houses the fuel filler on the superglide { mods maybe ? } and fit a tacho or shift guage into the original fuel guage space .
I haven't worked out the idiot lights yet but working on it .
By the way , does anyone have a take off they wont rid off preferably wrinkle black ?
Oh forgot ! I will also need to know the depth and mounting points of the superglide speedo please.
What do you think ?

06 FXD -
diameter of the fuel filler is 4 1/4"
diameter of the fuel guage is 2 1/2"
depth of the housing under filler is about 1 1/2"
I have a tank disassembled for paint.
Let me know what else you need.
I'm not clear what you mean by mounting points.

I am working on my bike at my buddies place so I will check the size of my speedo at the weekend. But I think it is larger than 4 1/4 and will see how deep it is .
I wondered if the 4 mounting holes would be in the same position as the Fatbob but will probably have to get one to check. Made an offer on one on ebay tonight.
I think the ignition switch should fit.
