I don't ride two up very often, but when I do it would be nice to be able to talkwith your passengerinstead of using hand signals, yelling, or stopping to communicate. Has anyone tried any of the intercoms that clip to your belt with the earpiece and attached microphone? They are less than 30 bucks. Do they work?Any suggestions.
Save your $. I got one of the ones you're describing and it was a POS. In this case you get exactly what you pay for. it you want one that actually works, you'll have to pony up the $$. I have a J&M that is about the size of a pack of cigarettes. it fits inside the saddle bag on my WG, with the voulme control velcro'd to the outside of the bag for easy reach. It works great, even at 70 mph.
There are possibly others out there (chatterbox, etc.) that may give similar results, but the $30 specials are a waste of your $. Trust me.
Thanks for the J&M info GMan. I've been looking. Which model and what components do you have?
I use the MI 1490 http://www.jmcorp.com/SeeProducts.asp?PF=14 with a set of the J&M premium headsets. They work great and the system, although intercom only, works really good.didn't need a CB, radio, etc. so went with the intercom only.
Gman, you ever had your front fender on the glide bottom out on your highway bar? I have similar setup on my 05 SGlide and it cost me $70 to fix the dent. Now I am scared to run with the fender on again.

On the WG there is plenty of room. never a problem.
