Default Exhaust wrap

What brand and how much? Good or bad on the pipes? Will it rust faster? Just a few ?s on the mod. I have a 04 Dyna Defender and all ready have V&H on it I would like to get rid of some more chrome. Thanks for any ideas

good looking bike man. I've heard that wrapped pipes will give you 1 or 2 horses due to the pipes scavenging heat better. Good luck, Black wrap would look pretty mean.

the good stuff = d.e.i. comes w/ hi-temp paint and is way thicker than the "pep-boys" type stuff

as for rusting faster...if left wet, i have no doubt it will cause corrosion with a quickness

this is what the cheap stuff will look like after about 5k-6k miles

Thermo-Tec Exhaust wrap is the way to go. Yu can order it from www.summitracing.com
I used the black 2" wrap. Go ahead and order a can of the black spray on coating also.

+1

That's what I used (black 2" wrap) and no problems. Also can be bought direct from Thermo-Tec along with the Thermo-Tec high heat black paint.

4X the thermotec from Summit and I used a most of a can of Krylon high heat on mine no fading yet but it still smells when it gets real hot.I prefer Rustoleum High heat but I had the Krylon left over from another project. And in case you're wondering 1 50' roll is plenty.
