Default Need some help

Need some help from you Great Americans! My bike has been sitting for a while (crappy weather, traveling alot) and I am a relatively new rider. When I went to start the ole girl yesterday it tried to turn over, and then started making a clicking noise. I am assuming it is the battery, if so how do I get it going again? Thanks in advance.

Check your cables. Make sure they are tight. Loose cables is commons on these things. Charge the battery and hopefully you will be good to go.

It is your battery. Put it on a charger or jump start or push start. It should stay charged if you keep riding it.

What kind of bike? Carb or fuel injection? If it's injected, you can not push start it. Well, it is possible to jump it, I personally would not recomend it. A trickle charger will be your best bet. Do not use a car charger, unless it has a trickle option. Otherwise you'll end up frying your battery. And you may want to think about getting a 'Battery Tender', to keep her all charged up and ready for you. They can be had for about $50. Make your battery last a long time. Hope this helps.

As above thats your solenoid clicking with not enough power in your battery to start. Definately buy a battery tender and keep it connected via 2 tails connected to your battery with a common plug. When you fancy a ride disconnect the tails / plugand your done.
Probably the best investment you can make.
Take care.

Just ask Doug. He plugged a pot in back in September. Should be ready Christmas morning.
