whats up guys...well im going to powder coat my rear turn sigs and i need to send the powder coater just the shell of the turn sig......is there a way to take everything out with out braking it???? ive looked in the sevice manual but couldnt find anything..........thanks
The reflector plate and wired bits are all just held in place by the friction of the rubber ring around the reflector plate. You should be able to just slip a small screwdriver inside the rubber ring and pry the guts out.....Or, if the "bullet" has been removed, you can put a screwdriver in the the wire access hole and press the guts out from the inside.
Its pretty easy to pull it all apart ... lever the inner out , the electrics disassemble with a small flat driver used carefully ... just follow your nose ... post if you get stuck ...
Just did this myself yesterday. It's not that bad. I used a small screwdriver and pryed the reflector out of the rubber that it sits in. It will appear to be an o ring from the outside but is actually more like a rubber boot that sits beneath the reflector.
i used a small pick that i heated with the torch and bent the tip to a 90 degree angle. it worked allot better than the screwdriver did on the first one.
