06 Dyna
ORIGINAL: grizzly
I have had my 06 Dyna Wide Glide for about three months now, and about 2800 miles. LOVE IT. Only when I have the urge to tear up the road and straighten out the corners do I jump on the Sportster. Dont get me wrong, the Sporty is great or I would not have kept it, but the WG is like an extension of me. Great bike.

Mine's still in the shop (it's been a week now). In addition to the recall and 1000 mile service, they'll be adding a derby cover, timer cover, braided cables, polyurethane handlebar bushings, chrome riser cup hardware...umm..I think that's it. Add that to my already long list...these catalogs have become my drug of choice
Enjoy man.

I really liked what Harley did with these '06 Dyna's. Now, these are the bikes setting the pace. 15K tranny bearing aside you get a smooth, slick shifting, great looking ride.
Unlike my older purchases where my budget was usually limited, I could have bought any bike in the '06 lineup this year (short of the pricey special edition screaming eagle fat boy) and picked up a new 35th Dyna. I sold off a few bikes to give me this option and it was worth every single penny. You simply can't go wrong with any of these FX'rs. Jump in with both feet and get one!

I totally agree. Funny thing is, when I was shopping around, I wasn't even aware of all the changes to the Dyna line up for 06. I was two seconds away from buying a leftover 2005 model when I decided to check out one other dealer. It just so happened that the other dealer had a bunch of 06's and actually took the time to explain the changes. Needless to say they got my business. Not that I have anything bad to say about earlier dyna's (or any harley for that matter)...but I know me. If I had bought an 05 while the 06's were already available, and then realized that the 06's had all these changes, I'd still be kicking myself. This kind of stuff happens to me all the time..especially with cars. I'm just glad it didn't happen to me this time[sm=yikesomg.gif]
