This is just my opinion, but you can get the same or higher quality bags from an aftermarket vendor or online vs. what you would pay at a dealership (unless you just have to have the "High-Dollar" bar and shield on your bags).

Go here: http://www.willieandmax.com/

I am pretty happy with the bags from the dealer. They are a little pricey, but they are well made and of good quality.

What's keeping the throwovers from scratching the paint? I saw a street bob at the toys for tot's that had relly bad scratches from throw overs.

I put the HD bags on my bike; or rather, I managed to get the left bag on after some serious cussing, and had a local shop put the right one on. Have to say ... their cussing was far more creative than mine.

Still, great bags.

http://www.foxcreekleather.com/or http://www.ironbags.com/are probably the best ones out there...

I went through http://www.leatherconnexion.com/to get mine. They were in the neighborhood of $450. I added the easy brackets for another $150 or so. Love the set-up...
