HAS ANYONE TRIED A TORNADO FUEL SAVER ON THEIR HARLEY? I PUT A KI-55 IN SIDE THE WRINKLE BLACK HYPERCHARGER ON MY STREET BOB AND GUESS WHAT ??? IT WORKS !!! WITHOUT A DYNO I WOULD GUESS THAT THE POWER IS UP 10 % WITH 10 % BETTER FUEL ECONOMY. I HAVE BEEN READING LOTS OF ARTICLES ON GETTING MORE POWER AND MOST MENTION IMPROVING COMBUSTION % AS A GOOD WAY TO GET POWER AND ECONOMY...(MAYBE THE ONLY WAY TO GET BOTH)
PROBLEMS: THIS BIKE RUNS LEAN WITH A HYPERCHARGER AND THUNDERHEADER - THIS PROBABLY MAKES IT RUN LEANER...
SOLUTION: I AM WAITING ON A FI 1340ST TFI FUEL INJECTION MODULE FROM DOBECK PERFORMANCE.....

I ADMIT THE HYPERCHARGER IS HYPE BUT THE WRINKLE BLACK FINISH LOOKS FACTORY. IT IS ALSO VERY EASY AND CLEAN INSTALL
WITH THE TORNADO/ HYPERCHARGER. THE TORNADO DOSEN'T FIT AS WELL IN MY S.E. AIR INTAKE ON MY BAGGER.

P.S. THE BLACK FINISH KEEPS THE LOUSEY CHROME FROM RUSTING...

I'll be the first to comment. IMHO those Tornado widgets are worth there weight in bull crap. No disrespect but that Tornado gimmick has been hoodwinking guys for years. I've never seen one for a bike but it doesn't surprise me. I'm a diesel man, and boy are there a lot of guys out there that will buy whatever go faster stuff you throw in front of them....especially if they own a Ford. I've ssen where the turbo on a diesel pulled so hard that the Tornado crumpled and ended up damaging the fins of the turbo. Save your money. TURN OFF THE CAPS. And please, post some pics of the black 7 red Street Bob.

HOWEVER...this reply is easy....I have a large cummins diesel in my dive boat which is the fastest boat in our dive fleet...
You can't use a air spinning device in a turbo motor. The turbo spins the air already.
Now if you are the kind of person who calls a person a liar without some data....Let's just say i'm glad you don't drink in my bar.

If you want some facts...my toyota truck is supposed to get up to 21 mpg...it gets 24 with my bagger in the back

My ex's rave 4 did front wheel burnouts and was scary fast with a tornado - at 30+ mpg.

SORRY I DIDN'T REPLY SOONER....I i rode over our mountain to our favorite bar store for all you can eat tri tip, sausage, ribs ets...
and then went to bike nite and in ridable weather - we got 6 bikes and 22 people for the santa barbara area

 

Sorry about all the caps. At bike night last night I was asking about which performance upgrade is the cheapest on a per HP basis.
I think I get 5 HP for less than 50 bucks with the tornado... Pipes, cams, head work all seem to be about $100 per HP or more.

What mod. is really the deepest for the cheapest.????

Do you think they faked the dyno test on TV for the tornado...
Why are companies selling knockoffs. Toyota TRD sells throttle bodies with spirals milled into them.
Another company claims 20 % HP increase in bikes for $ 125 on some type of air spinner...
This reminded of the origional tornado adds so I measured my air intake and threw the $45..

I haven't had the street bob dynoed but I have 2000 miles on it and I feel seat of the pants reaction is important.
I run through the gears pinned and the front floats on every shift. (alum. rim, no f fender or mounts)
Do it again with the tornado installed and the front wheel is in the air on every shift..It also seems quicker.
This no small feat as I am 250 lbs and 6'1".

It seems the KI-55 will fit most harleys and is $45 with free shipping (3 day)

Remember the theory of increasing combustion percentage - much work is done in this area by shaping com. chamber, pistons and head flow. Adding fuel to spinning air mixes better and increases combustion effiency. That's how you get better mileage and more power. CHEAP!!!

ALL OTHER MODIFICATIONS THAT INCREASE PERFORMANCE DECREASE FUEL ECONOMY !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

for one thing.u are not increasing airflow.ur constricting it.anytime you put something in front of an air passage,bike or car,its costing u. alot of times with bike esp,the seat of ur pants is ur own mind playing tricks on u.b/c while u are installing said item,u are asking ur self will i feel anything? at the end of it,ur like: i think i feel some diff.

if u really want to quiet all of us down.go to a dyno and do before and after.and make sure u have the papers to prove b/c from what i've been reading about u i don't think u are making to many friends here and the proof will be needed.
