Default changing cables?

I tried the search and found conflicting answers. I have a 05 fxdi and I just got some st. bob bars. I have heard that you need to change the cables and i have heard that only the brake line is a little hard to make work. I was on ebay and bought some 04 wideglide take off parts. I got brake, throttle, and clutch line. But lucky I realized I didn't have the idle cable. Do I need one or can my stock one work. If it doesn't and I need one, does anyone no wear to get a used one.

Thanks

I am so glad I thought about this before I started taking things apart.

I think i feel like an idiot. Looks like the seller sent both the throttle and idle cable still connected to the bottom part of the switch housing. Thanks again. I thought they were really expensive. My speedo should fit the st. bobbars ok right?

I do believe you will be fine with the speedo.

When I bought a set of 06 WideGlide bars couple years ago,
The seller told me for sure he did not have the throttle/idle cables.

When I opened the package,
which was big enough he coulda shipped a wheelbarrow in it,
those cables were included.

I've read on the forum that you can just pull the cables out from between the triple trees and use your cables without disconnecting the engine end. some also say that you can bend the break line and make it work but others say they broke it when they tried.I'm waiting on parts now to put my bike back together and thenI'm going to try it. if it doesn't work i can always get different cables then.
