What have you guys done with your electronics box covers? Mine's still plain black with a "Ride to Live" medallion on it, but I want to do something different. I'm looking for ideas... It's an 03 FXD.
I haven't done anything to mine. I was thinking of what to do with that myself. I want the skull battery cover band for the other side. If those covers are the same size, I may put one on both sides. I haven't looked to see if there is any size difference.
I kinda like those that are made of metal (or look like they are). On the 03 it's just a square plastic box, and there's 4 bolts holding it on. It's black, and so is the bike. I've looked at the chrome ones the MoCo sells, and there's only one option available for mine. It's okay, but it's really generic looking. I'd like something a little more unique.
A chrome HD one is around $70 and to have the existing one chromed was going to save about $5.
I left it black and put a HD logo on it for a couple bucks.
I'm looking at putting a different front fender on, so when I get one and paint it I will paint the elec. box the same color as well.
I think it will look good.
