I have a what if question!!!
What if I was to go with SE Slipons, SE Stage1 AC and the Harley download, would it still be advisable to havemy bikeDyno tuned. I've been reading all the threads on this subject, but I don't recall anything written on this combination.
I have an 07 FXDC and was going to go with the V&H Straight Shots (quiet baffles), SE Stage1 AC and the PC111. I asked the guy at the dealer if he hadany bikes in the shopwith the V&H slipons that I could listen to. He didn't, but had an 08 FatBob with the SE Slipons. He started it up and it didn't sound to bad, so that's when he suggested the combination SE Slipons, SE Stage1 AC and the Harley down load. I asked him about the Dyno tune and he said it wasn't necessary! Is that right????
Thanks in advance for you answers!!!

In order to do a dyno tune, you need a tuner like a PCIII or SERT. The down load is only for slip ons and a stage 1 a/c and is not adjustable. If all you want is a stage 1 and you like the se slip ons then go for it. But shop around a little and check out bikes on the weekend at your dealer. You may find an exhaust that you like better.
The dealer will reflash your ecm to bring it back in to EPA requirements (still a little lean) and the engine will run a bit warm. An aftermarket fuel management device will give you a little extra fuel thus allowing the combustion temps to come down. Most of those will require a dyno to get it dialed in.
