Default HELP!!!!!

I am hoping maybe a couple of the old-timers here on the forum might have the forum have the answer to this one. I have installed 6" over fork tubes on my 03 wideglide and now the jiffystand is way too short (bike leans at a 45 degree angle). I have posted this before and someone stated that j&p sold longer stands for dyna... well after going thru their catalog repeatedly and calling them several times, if they sell it neither me or several of their of their sales reps can find one. how did the fix this problem back in the day? although it is still sorta funny... the humor of taking a brick with me everywhere i go is wearing off rather quickly.

This is probably not the answer you want, but I've done and been around the modified front ends before, i would suggest raking the front end, you will have a couple of options for that. IMHO, the bike will handle substantially better and look better

I've seen other posts where the stand has been heated and bent to a better angle, but I can't say that I'd recommend that as it may have a long-term effect on the strength of the stand. Nothing else I've seen even addresses a longer jiffy stand. Maybe shorter fork tubes? 6" over must make the front sit pretty high.

I wonder if it could be bent down some to make it work? if not why not take to a welding shop and have them extend it.

Back in the day we used to use 5/8" cold roll steel cut to lenght we needed and inserted into kick stand pivot. On todays kick stands,I would get a extension welded onto it.
