Default Another price question

Okay, I'm getting ready to buy me an 06 Wide glide. I've gotten quotes ranging from 19,400.00 to 19,172.00. I'm looking at a single color bike with security system. I have called or mailed 5 places and all of them are in the range I've mention. Does this sound like an average price?
I don't mind traveling to buy one at a better price if it will be cheaper for me to pay for the trip there and back. By the way, I live in north Florida.
Thanks for the help guys.
Tom

Before I bought mine through Military sales, I called a few dealerships in Virginia Beach, they were all in the $18,000 to $18,500 range, but that's just sticker, not to mention freight, security, etc, etc....

Thank god for military sales I saved a ton of money going through them.

There was a recent post in regards to this although I cant find it. You may not be able to get the price down although you may be able to get a bunch of add ons thrown in for free or very little. If your not ready for the add ons see if you can get a credit for a grand or so at the parts counter.

I bought my 06 DWG in October. They had a few single color models going from 18,200 - 18, 500. I picked up mine for 19, 200 - it came with two-tone paint, the security system and the complete chrome front end kit, including fork sliders, wheel spacers, fender hardware, fork nut covers, chrome levers, switch housing, cap cover kit, caliper bolt covers, etc. If the dealer is quoting you over 19,000 for a base/stock bike, that seems a little high.

I ordered an '06 WG (vivid black) a few weeks ago at the list price plus NY sales tax and security etc put it around 17.6. Your quote sounds high, at least compared to the New York/Connecticut area which is usually more expensive for everything. I dont thnk they had seen many orders for the WGs, though, which might explain it

Bought my 2006 Wide Glide in December.
I got a Pearl Yellow with SE II slip ons, Wide Tire Kit, and Kury pilot foot pegs with stirrups.
Out the door price was $19,200 which included an FXRG leather jacket.

The cheapest out the door price in Phoenix metro area is $20,173.00 for a single color model DWG with no add ons except the factory security system. A couple of dealers will give you 10% off anything you add the day of the sale. That's the price you pay for year around riding. No deals.

You can come 450 miles to the North to Farmington, NM or Durango, Co. and get one for the 17,930 that I posted above. Then when you get back to Az. you can pay the tax and license fees and still be under the 20,000 for your area. 450 miles isn't very far to go for that kind of savings plus you have it broken in by the time you get home.

Bill
