Default Adjustable Ride Height

I've seen a lot of talk about new shocks and I've looked all over the internet and the only shocks I can find that you can adjust ride height on is the air shock systems (not just air shocks that you can adjust psi for your particular softness or firmness of ride.) Is that really it, do I have to fork out $1,000 to $1,500 to be able to adjust my ride height. I mean I wanna lower my bike but I also like ridding two up and I know it will scrape like crazy if I lower it like I want. Are there no coil over shocks like on all those jap tuner cars that you can adjust heighth on as well as pre load?

+1 -- That ought to be enough to go from solo to two-up if ya get 1" lower than stock to start with.
