I've seen the street bob in black cherry and dark blue, and I thought they looked awesome too.
The denim black looks really tough, but i think there's a lot of upkeep to it, it has a strange way of showing fingerprints. I'm sure some bob owners will have some much better info than me.
I just wipe mine down with a damp cotton cloth. It really seems not to pick up finger prints like my former glossy factory painted Sportster. I have not done the heavy cleaning with the amonia based cleaner yet.
For my Vivid Black, I think the clear coat is too thin. I've had mine since 6 months and it has fine spider-web scratches. I'm gonna try detail it this weekend and get some out.

Mine came brand new with those little scratches. I bought the HD swirl and scratch remover...it helps, but isn't perfect. Anyone had any luck with anything better?
I have the Denim Black and so far it is extremely durable and very easy to care for.
I had a 4" scratch on the front fender from a car door scraping it. I used 600 grit wet sand
paper on it and it completely removed the scratch to where you cannot tell it was ever there.
The scratch was deep enough to catch with my thumb nail and would have been thru a clear coat
had there been one it.
I think they make too much fuss over the care of Denim black. I used water and Harley gloss
on mine and it is fine. I put wheel and tire cleaner on it by mistake but it did not harm it .
I used window cleaner in it a few times for grease.
