im looking into buying this engine guard, off of a 2004 "dyna glide," but the seller does not know the exact model it is from or any part numbers. can anyone help me out? thanks in advance.
That one looks a lot like mine. See if it will bolt up to your frame. Mine uses those cheesy U-bolts on the bottom and the center bolt attaches through the upper frame bolt hole. Just remember they are intended for <5mph crashes......or your bike falling off the jiffy. (which is why I got mine because I have 3 kids that may someday knock it over when I'm not around)
I would stay away from it if you're unsure of the compatibility. How much would you be out if it didn't fit? If it's only $20 (sure it's not), than maybe no big deal, but if you're approaching the price of a new one from HD or aftermarket, I think you know the answer.
well you going to have to ask him for measurements and hope it will fit. i know what your going through, seems they make so many of them and this one will fit this model but not another. if you could get it for under $50.00 and it didn't fit you could always resale it.
Check with a local Indy,or the dealer.they have the books and they can match up the guards with your bike, plus the money might be about the same or a little more. This way if this guys guards are for you then you don't have put them back on E-Bay. I got hard Bags off e-bay and it took an extra $250 Worth of work to get them match upto the Bike and they were suppose to be for my bike, No more e-bay for me.
