Ratt,
I always preface comments on this board about pipes in that beauty (sound) is in the eye of the beholder. You will find that what is one man's obnoxious loud is a symphony to another. For me deeper is better than loud although you tend to have to go louder to get deeper sounding pipes.
With that said, here goes, IMHO the Rush pipes are the best combination of loudness and deep sounds. The 1.75" are moderately loud but do not have as much of the deep rumble that I love. The 2" is to me the best compromise of the two, the deepest sound without being obnoxiously loud. The 2.25" and 2.5" Rush baffles have that nice deep sound but can easily set off car alarms in the process. The best advantage of th Rush pipes is that for $65-$70 you can easily swap out the baffles to go whichever way your heart desires.....

Gotta ask why go back, and just what is the differance. I have a new Fat Bob on the way and got 1.75s all set to go. Thanks.

I have the 1.75's, and they have the exact sound I was looking for with zero loss of torque.

The idle and cruising volume levelis throaty without being too obnoxious, but when you crack the throttle...plenty loud enoughformost anyone except perhaps the more hardcore among us.

I just had the Rush 1.75's installed on my SB and all I can say is they are awesome. They are plenty deep and loud for me. I thought about the 1.5 when I bought them but was steered more to the 1.75. I am glad I did....

Later,
Joe

I've got the Rush 2" on my 96tc and love 'em. Like others have said, they are mild enough at cruise but when you twist the grip they really thunder to life. If I remember right it's Rush's recomendation that a stock 96tc can handle up to the 2" baffles without giving up any bottom end torque.

My WG also has the high flow a/c and I'm running a map from the SERT CD to take advantage of the better airflow so I can't say what an otherwise stock 96 is like but mine pulls like a freight train from idle to the top. My bike is going to be dyno tuned in a couple weeks so even tho' I think it's running great as is it will most likely be even stronger after the tune.

BTW, I've noticed that these Rush's sound even better now that I've got some miles on them.[8D]

Got the Rush 1.75's and love the sound. Have had Vance and Hines, Cobra,Screamin Eagle II's on my other Harleys before getting the Fat Bob, and love the Rush 1.75's the best.

Plenty loud enough for me...don't like them really loud at crusin speed but like some bark at throttle and rumble at idle, so they are perfect for me.

That being said I haven't heard the 2.0's but am not looking for any more sound so I am happy as is.
