Changing Grips
Alright, I did my due diligence on searching for answers, but, came up with not a whole lot...
I'm thinking of getting some cool grips for my handlebars but don't want to pay for installation. I just can't afford it right now. I have to install it myself or pass on the whole thing. I've read over the service manual instructions and definitely made a mental note of placing a shim behind the brake lever. Do you think this is doable for someone who so far has only 1) self-installed mufflers, high flow A/C and adjusted handlebars? Don't laugh. I'm probably not the least mechanically inclined of the bunch.
I have the tools needed but I guess I need some glue. Any recommendations on that?Basically, are there any tricky things that could screw me up that the manual doesn't mention?
Also, have any of you noticed that you roll the throttle accidentally when you pull firm on the front brake? Kind of defeats the purpose, no? [sm=bangbang.gif]
Thanks for your help, as always...

Most grips will come with grip glue. Clean up the bars very well before putting the new grip on. Slide it on quick and smooth.
"Ferrules" I think is what you're repherring to, Phreak.
TB, the beads fall off? Or those ferrule things that hold them in the grooves???
