My 02 and 05 have their own noises/quirks at certain rpm ranges, after they are up to full operating temps they just settle down, the engine gets into a good rythym and sometimes all I hear is road noise or the riding bell under the bike. Windshields create a dead air space and then you hear the engine noise. The lubricants you said you are using look real good. Did you get your clutch thing straighten out?
Yeah, I got it all straightened out. I had it adjusted properly all three times I did it. Thinking it was just the first time jitters, or a bit of my paranoia kickin' in I did adjust the cable slack/free play at the clutch lever though...seems to be goin' REAL nice now. Thanks for your help on that one, by the way!
I do like the fluid combo, but think I might try Amsoil in all three holes next time. I just keep hearing really good things about 'em. Worth a shot. If I don't like it, $50 will get me back to what I know I like...
I am running syn3. A little less on the noises since switching. All in all I have experienced pretty much the same. Maybe I am just getting used to it now and do not notice it as much.
