Default HandleBar ??????????

Hey yall,. Looking at getting a different set of bars for my 05 fxdci, it has the original arthritis causing buckhorns on it now. Was looking to go with either Mini apes or Tbars, havent made my mind up yet. Question is, how much rise for both bars before i have to go and change cables and all. And a rough estimate on the complete change over. I figure 6-10 inch rise would be comfortable. Thanks for any info.

I went with the mini apes on my FXD. I replaced the cables and brake line though and the total bill for mini apes, clutch and throttle cables, and brake line was roughly $160 through various discount dealers. With a little hindsight I should have changed out my grips at the same time while it was all tore apart. Might ask around and find a set of takeoff parts someone is wanting to get rid of for cheap.

I put 10 inch mini apes on my 03 FXD. Needed longer brake line and clutch cable, but throttle & idle cables did not need to be changed. They just needed to be re-routed so they do not pass thru the tripple tree.

Put drag bars 8 inch rise wild1 501's. Didn't have to change anything out. Did have to slightly bend brake line.
